Linda Creanor, Senior Lecturer (e-Learning)
Linda is senior lecturer (e-learning) at Glasgow Caledonian University where her time is divided between the Academic Practice Unit and the Department of General Professional and Academic Studies (GAPS). She is responsible for the Universitys continuing professional development programme in e-learning, provides support and consultancy in e-learning to the academic Schools in GCU, supervises staff undertaking the PgC in Learning & Teaching in HE and is developing e-learning modules at Masters level. She is a member of the Higher Education Academy, sits on the Association for Learning Technology's membership executive committee, and is the institutional representative for ALT.
Linda has been involved in several national and European projects including Clyde Virtual University (SHEFC), NetCulture (SHEFC), ETUDE (Ten-Telecom) and Dialog On (ESF, Innovative Measures). She has done consultancy work for the European Trade Union College (ETUCO), LTSN, TUC, and the UHI Millenium Institute. Current activities include:

Linda has an MA in French and German from Glasgow University, postgraduate teaching qualifications (PGCE) in both primary and secondary subjects and an MSc in IT (1992). She joined GCU in February 1997 prior to which she had been a researcher at Glasgow University (learning technology), lecturer in FE (computing), accounts manager (private company), and a secondary school teacher (French and German).
Linda's research interests are in: staff development for e-learning and through e-learning; online communities of practice and their impact on learning; cultural and linguistic aspects of online communication.
