Aims and Objectives
Aims and Objectives
The 2 day VideoAktiv workshop aims to support the participant through the:
- acquisition of practical multimedia skills
- development of a pedagogically sound educational underpinning
- use of processes critical to being able to initiate one's own video and audio projects
The workshop is very 'hands-on' with participants working through the process of producing a short piece of video. This process of development being informed by a reflective practice approach focused closely on learning and teaching values.
The VideoAktiv workshop will be relevant to lecturers and support staff, in both the HE and FE communities, interested in developing and using digital video and audio in the area of learning and teaching.

- What is your Educational Purpose? (Click and Go Decision Tool)
- Uses of video and audio for learning and teaching
- Learn to use video and audio equipment
- Knowing how to use existing media collections and archives
- Using software technology for developing resources (e.g. shooting, digitising)
- Choosing a form of delivery (streamed, DVD, CD-Rom)
- Understanding accessibility requirements
- Keeping up with the legal, ethical and copyright issues
